Teacher detained over alleged abuse of minors in Nordre Follo

A teacher in his 40s has been arrested and remanded in custody on suspicion of sexual abuse, Dagbladet reports. He teaches at a lower secondary school in Nordre Follo municipality and has also been associated with two local churches, according to the Eastern Police District.

The allegations under investigation concern incidents dating back to 2019. Police are also investigating whether similar offences took place before or after that year.

Investigators are working to determine whether more girls may have been subjected to abuse or had sexual contact with the man.

Police want to hear from girls who had sexual contact with the suspect that began through his work as a teacher or through his work at a church.
