22-year-old shot by police remanded in custody for 18 days

DR reports that the 22-year-old man shot by police in Tingbjerg, Copenhagen, has been remanded in custody for an initial 18 days.

The decision was made during a custody hearing at Copenhagen City Court.

The man was unable to appear in court because of his injuries, so the hearing was held in his absence.

The shooting took place during unrest in the residential neighbourhood, where containers, cars and a building had been set on fire.
