Man drowns while swimming in Lake Mallasvesi
Finland A man aged about 70 drowned in Lake Mallasvesi in Pälkäne on Saturday evening, Yle reported, citing the rescue service and police.
The man had gone swimming with a friend and sank beneath the surface. Rescue service divers found him 6 to 8 metres from the pier.
The emergency call was received at about 7.30pm.
