August will begin with mostly sunny and dry weather in southern and northern Finland, with summer temperatures, Yle reports. Southwesterly winds will strengthen to moderate levels in the south.

From the afternoon onwards, rain and thunderstorms will develop in central Finland, particularly in the Ostrobothnia provinces.

On Sunday, cloud cover will vary. Isolated showers are expected in central Finland, while rain and thunderstorms will develop in Lapland. Daytime temperatures will dip slightly.

Afternoon showers will become more common on Monday, with thunderstorms also developing in the north. Temperatures will be around 15 degrees Celsius in the north and around 20 degrees elsewhere.
