Two separate crashes within minutes have caused major delays on Oslo’s E6 motorway, the Norwegian Public Roads Administration’s traffic control centre reports.

Both incidents occurred in the northbound lanes at different locations south of the city. The southbound lanes remain open and unaffected, traffic operator Jeanett Andresen told Dagbladet.

In the first crash, a motorcyclist collided with a car and was taken to hospital with suspected fractures, according to Oslo police operations manager Per-Ivar Iversen. The road at that site has since reopened.

The second involved a van and a passenger car, causing significant vehicle damage but no injuries. Andresen said the vehicles require recovery and clearance will take time, with both lanes currently closed. Images from the scene show heavy congestion, and the traffic control centre confirms long queues have formed.
