Methane leak detected at Ranua biogas station

A methane leak was detected at a biogas vehicle refuelling station along Pudasjärventie in Ranua just before 11:00 on Friday, Yle reports.

Emergency services have cordoned off the area and are conducting rescue operations. Twelve emergency response units are on site.

Methane is a highly explosive gas.
