Couple marries in cosplay at Nordic convention

Emilia Hjalmarsson and Alexander Segerblom exchanged vows dressed as characters from the anime and manga series Inuyasha during Närcon, Scandinavia’s largest cosplay convention, reports SVT.

The couple, who met through cosplay, were married by a friend acting as officiant. The ceremony cost around 2,000 SEK.

“The most important thing is that you love each other and want to share that joy with others,” Segerblom said.

Hjalmarsson called the decision to marry at the convention the right one, though she admitted feeling “a little more nervous than I expected.”

This year’s Närcon in Linköping drew over 20,000 visitors.
