Man slashes tyres on dozens of cars in Raahe after noise complaints

A man in his 30s has confessed to slashing tyres on around 30 cars in Raahe’s Kummat district over the spring and summer, Oulu police told Yle.

The suspect, born in the 1990s, was apprehended in July. He told investigators he targeted the vehicles because the noise from the cars had disturbed him.

In some cases, one tyre per car was damaged; in others, multiple tyres were slashed.
