Danish streams heavily polluted with zinc and copper

Nearly 80 percent of Denmark’s streams are contaminated with zinc and 48 percent with copper, according to a review of Environment Ministry data.

The heavy metals affect the smallest aquatic organisms, reducing fishing opportunities in Danish waterways, the figures show.
