E6 closed after serious multi-vehicle crash on Dovrefjell

Multiple people are critically injured and trapped following a multi-vehicle collision on the E6 near Dovregubben Hall on Dovrefjell, Dagbladet reports.

All available emergency resources, including two air ambulances, have been dispatched to the scene, according to police operations leader Vidar Flokenes.

Flokenes described the incident as “very serious” and confirmed that several vehicles and occupants were involved, though the exact number remains unclear. He stated that rescue efforts are currently prioritised over establishing a full overview.

Preliminary indications suggest a head-on collision, but Flokenes emphasised it is too early to confirm the cause.

The road is closed in both directions and will remain so for an extended period.
