Three-car collision blocks highway in Paltamo

A three-car collision has closed Highway 22 near Paltamo, rescue services report.

The accident occurred at the intersection of Highway 22 and the road to Manamansalo shortly before 3 p.m. on Sunday. Emergency crews are on site, and the road between Kajaani and Oulu is shut at the scene.

Traffic is being directed alternately past the location, according to the Finnish Traffic Management Agency Fintraffic. Kainuu Rescue Services will provide further updates later.
