Finnish MP Päivi Räsänen has filed an appeal with the European Court of Human Rights against her conviction by Finland’s Supreme Court, she announced in a statement.
The Supreme Court in March fined Räsänen 20 day-fines, totalling €1,800, for incitement against a population group over a 2004 pamphlet titled Mieheksi ja naiseksi hän heidät loi (He Created Them Male and Female), which questioned homosexual relationships from a Christian perspective.
