A 12-year-old boy suspected of stabbing a five-year-old girl in a Helsingborg park has been linked to a TikTok account that shifted from child-friendly content to glorifying school shooters and mass murderers, SVT reports.
Reporter Linus Svensson reviewed portions of the account’s material and told SVT’s Aktuellt that it appeared ordinary for a child until recently. “Relatively recently it was a normal account belonging to a child,” Svensson said. “After winter 2026 the account began sharing violent glorification content and tributes to school shooters and mass murderers.”
The boy was taken into custody by social services on Monday, hours after the July 13 attack that left the victim with serious injuries. According to prosecutors, no clear motive has been established for the stabbing.
The account’s posts included tributes to the 1999 Columbine High School massacre and images from the 2018 Kerch college attack in which 20 people were killed. After the boy’s detention, sharing on the account stopped, Helsingborgs Dagblad and the Expo foundation reported.
