Fire at waste pile in Vantaa extinguished by rescue services

A large fire broke out at a waste pile in Vantaa early on Wednesday, the Central Uusimaa Rescue Services reported.
The blaze was reported shortly before 05:00 at a waste facility on Pitkäsuontie. Multiple rescue units were dispatched to the scene.
Rescue services confirmed they were on-site extinguishing the fire, which had not resulted in any injuries. The facility, located on Pitkäsuontie, includes Vantaa Energy’s waste-to-energy plant.
