Two cars collide head-on in Nurmijärvi

Two passenger cars collided head-on Monday afternoon on the Hangö Highway in Nurmijärvi, central Finland, the Central Uusimaa Rescue Service reported.

Emergency responders extricated both drivers from their vehicles and paramedics treated them at the scene. The rescue service received the first alert shortly after 15:00 local time.

The collision occurred just beyond the Rajamäki junction heading toward Hanko. Traffic has been closed at the site and is expected to remain disrupted for several hours, according to the Eastern Uusimaa Police Department’s situation center.
