Political response urged after drug incident at G! festival

The Faroese police have called for immediate reporting of illegal substance use after three young people were observed snorting a white powder in a public area at the G! festival in Sundalagið.

Deputy police inspector Heri Andreasen stated that the best course of action is to report such incidents directly to authorities. He emphasized that police are responsible for monitoring substance use, not festival staff.

The incident occurred on Saturday when festival-goer Barbara Djurhuus witnessed the event and took to Facebook to question why no action was taken. The festival management has not responded to requests for comment.
