Attendees at the G! festival in the Faroe Islands should not accept public drug use, a witness has said after observing what appeared to be drug consumption at the event.

Barbara Djurhuus, who posted about the incident on Facebook, described seeing a man place a white powder on a phone and another man use a tube to inhale a substance. Djurhuus said she immediately asked a staff member at the bar whether such behavior was permitted, but was told it was not addressed.

“I asked the person working at the bar if this was something they allowed,” Djurhuus said. “He said they did nothing about it. I asked these young men to leave. But the feeling remains with me,” she added.

The Faroese police have not received any reports regarding the incident, according to a duty officer at the Tórshavn police station.
