Police launch investigation after suspected violent crime in Stockholm

A major police operation is underway in a residential area of Hässelby, Stockholm, following reports of a suspected serious crime.

The alert came in at 11 p.m. on Saturday, prompting officers and forensic technicians to seal off a section outside a multi-family building overnight. The scene remains cordoned off Sunday morning as authorities continue their investigation.

Police describe the incident as an isolated event and state there is no public safety risk. Authorities have provided no further details about the nature of the suspected crime.

“We are on-site investigating a suspected serious crime,” said duty officer Jenny Rydberg, according to Aftonbladet.
