Dalstunnilin opens to public traffic

Dalstunnilin, the new subsea tunnel linking the Faroese villages of Dalur and Húsavík, opened to general traffic on Saturday after a ceremonial inauguration in fair weather.
The tunnel was inaugurated by the Minister of Transport and the mayor of Húsavík Municipality, who jointly cut the ribbon. Former transport minister Henrik Old and Sigurd Ó. Vang, project manager at Landsverk, also attended the event.
