Traffic on Highway 23 halted in Hankasalmi after collision

Traffic on Finland’s Highway 23 has been completely halted near Hankasalmi in Central Finland after a two-vehicle collision, the Central Finland Rescue Service reports.

Emergency crews are responding to the accident on Highway 23 close to the intersection with Kivisensuo Road in Pieksämäki municipality. The highway remains closed in both directions while rescue operations continue.

The rescue service confirmed that two passenger cars were involved in the collision but did not release further details on the condition of the drivers.
