Bus stabilizes after tipping into ditch on Inarintie Road near Pokka, Finland

According to Timo Nyholm, the on-call fire chief of the Lapland Rescue Service, a bus that had tipped into a ditch has been stabilized, eliminating the risk of it rolling over. The rescue team utilized heavy equipment to secure the bus, which had tipped onto soft, marshy terrain.
At the time of the incident, around 10 AM on Saturday, there were still 49 passengers onboard the bus. The rescue service is currently assisting in getting them safely out of the vehicle, and there have been no reported injuries as per Nyholm.
The bus was en route from Kittilä to Inari when it veered off the road to the right into a ditch. The incident occurred on a gravel section of Inarintie Road, approximately five kilometers before the village of Pokka. This roadway serves as a main route through the wilderness from Kittilä to Inari.
Traffic is being redirected around the accident site via a detour, and the rescue operation is expected to take several hours. The cause of the accident is still under investigation by the police.
