Plans for apartments at former Restorff’s brewery site

A public meeting on a proposed special zoning plan between J. Paturssonargøta and Landavegur in Tórshavn will be held on Tuesday, KVF reports.
The meeting takes place at Posthúskjallaranum at 17:00. Tórshavn municipal council has approved a draft plan to create a new special zoning area permitting detached houses, terraced houses, semi-detached houses, and apartment buildings, as well as limited apartment construction on four plots.
The municipality has received an application to build 24 apartments, ranging from 28 to 125 square metres, on the site of the former Restorff’s brewery. Objections or proposed amendments to the plan must be submitted to the municipality by 4 August.
Tórshavn municipality has been holding public meetings on planned changes to zoning regulations.
