Police investigate gunfire incident in Ammerud, Groruddalen, Oslo

Police responded to reports of gunfire in Ammerud, Groruddalen, shortly before 8 PM. Witnesses reported multiple shots fired, prompting an active search in the area. Kristoffer Bang, the police operation leader, confirmed that a revolver was found on the ground outside an apartment block.
While it appears that a conflict has occurred, Bang stated that it is unclear if anyone has been injured. The police have not identified any victims or suspects at this moment. They are speaking with witnesses who both saw parts of the incident and heard the gunfire.
At least 10 uniformed and plainclothes police vehicles were deployed to the scene. Bang noted that at least two individuals fled the area in separate directions, suggesting possible involvement from two groups.
Authorities are conducting searches in the vicinity with armed resources and have cordoned off the entrance to the apartment block. An NRK journalist in the area reported hearing 5 to 6 shots around 7:47 PM.
The shooting incident occurred near a nursing home in Ammerud, a neighborhood located in Groruddalen, Oslo.
