Swedish Armed Forces director general resigns

Christina Malm has stepped down as director general of the Swedish Armed Forces, citing personal reasons, Swedish broadcaster SVT reported on Wednesday.
Malm had held the position for about six months, having assumed the role on 26 January this year. She previously served as director general of the Swedish Enlistment and Conscription Agency.
The government must now appoint a new director general. SVT said it has contacted the Armed Forces and the defence minister for comment.
