The Faroe Islands will primarily pursue a free trade agreement with South Korea, according to Niels Winther, director of the Faroese Business Agency (Vinnuhúsið), as South Korean interest in the Faroes and Faroese products grows.
Winther highlighted existing close ties between the two nations, including mutual visits by delegations, and noted opportunities for Faroese suppliers in South Korea’s aquaculture and food sectors.
The remarks were reported by Faroese public broadcaster KVF.
