AI reshapes job market for young workers, Yle seeks firsthand accounts

AI, employment, Finland

Finnish public broadcaster Yle is gathering experiences from young job seekers on how artificial intelligence is affecting their entry into the workforce.

The call follows mixed findings on AI’s impact: a recent study by the Research Institute of the Finnish Economy (Etla) suggested AI has not displaced young workers in Finland, while Stanford research indicated job losses in the US. LUT University professor Mika Ruokonen told Yle in June that employment prospects for new graduates now appear contradictory.

Yle invites those currently job hunting to share their stories as part of an upcoming feature on AI’s role in reshaping the labor market.
