Drivers report feeling unsafe in Sandoy tunnel

Drivers using the Sandoy tunnel in the Faroe Islands say they feel unsafe due to excessive water, dirt, and poor visibility inside, according to a report by Faroese public broadcaster KVF.

The tunnel operator’s responses have been deemed inadequate by those raising concerns.

Questions have also been raised about whether the water issues could be resolved by keeping the ventilation system running continuously.
