Man in his 70s dies in Flekkefjord drowning

A man in his 70s died after a drowning incident in Flekkefjord on Sunday afternoon, Dagbladet reports.
The man was pulled from the water and received CPR before being airlifted to Stavanger University Hospital, where he was later pronounced dead, according to police prosecutor Malin Aas of Agder police district.
Next of kin have been notified. Police have opened a routine investigation but do not suspect foul play.
“The incident currently appears to be a tragic accident,” Aas said. Authorities have not disclosed further details about the events leading up to the drowning.
