Meteorologists have issued a yellow warning for torrential rain across parts of eastern Norway ahead of Saturday’s World Cup quarter-final between Norway and England, Dagbladet reports.
The alert covers the period from 16:00 to 20:00, with local downpours, thunder, lightning, and strong wind gusts expected—particularly north and west of Oslo. Some areas may see over 20 mm of rain in an hour.
Supporters queuing early for fan zones before the 23:00 kickoff are advised to bring rain gear and seek shelter if lightning strikes. The worst weather is expected to clear before the match begins.
Central and western Norway will remain largely dry with sunny spells, though temperatures on the west coast may dip slightly in the evening.
