Man denies armed threat against Pori city worker, released during investigation

Southwest Finland police are investigating an armed threat against a Pori city employee after a man allegedly brandished a firearm at a worksite in the Sampola district on Monday, Yle reports.

The suspect, a full-grown man, denies the accusation. He was initially detained but has since been released pending the investigation.

No shots were fired and no injuries were reported. Authorities are pursuing charges including illegal threat, aggravated firearms offenses, and lesser counts.
