Finnish Defence Forces restrict air and sea space off Kotka over possible drones
The Finnish Defence Forces temporarily restricted air and sea space off the coast of Kotka early Friday as a precaution due to possible drones, the agency announced on X.
Restrictions took effect around 4 a.m. and were lifted at 5:25 a.m. The Defence Forces confirmed to Yle that no drones were detected in Finnish airspace.
Similar restrictions were imposed on 6 July in the eastern Gulf of Finland, linked to Ukrainian drone strikes on Russia.
