The pro-Russian hacking group Beregini claims to have obtained hundreds of documents detailing Norway’s military donations to Ukraine, but Norway’s Defence Materiel Agency (FMA) denies any classified leak.

In a Telegram post this week, Beregini said it had acquired logistics documents from Norway’s Ministry of Defence, allegedly revealing exact shipments of Leopard 2 tank components and other equipment sent to Ukraine via a Polish hub. However, the documents seen by Dagbladet list FMA—not the ministry—as the sender, alongside a Polish contact.

FMA confirmed the documents appear to be copies of pro forma invoices accompanying transports of donated material, including spare parts for Leopard 2 tanks. Press officer Per Erlien Dalløkken stated they are unclassified and routinely presented at customs when crossing borders.

“FMA was not aware they had been published,” Dalløkken said, adding that Norway’s 2023 donation of Leopard 2 tanks, ammunition, and spare parts to Ukraine was already public knowledge.

Security experts link Beregini to Russian disinformation operations. The group, which emerged in 2016, has previously spread forged documents alongside genuine ones, according to analyses by the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab.
