Veteran journalist and correspondent Helena Petäistö has died at the age of 75, Yle reports.

Petäistö, a long-time reporter for MTV Uutiset, passed away on Thursday. She was best known for her work as a correspondent in France.

In 2010, she received the Journalism Award from Suomen Kuvalehden. In 2022, she was honored with a lifetime achievement award at the Kultainen Venla gala.
