Burgundy truck fled scene of Highway 3 crash near Hämeenlinna

Hämeenlinna police are seeking witnesses to a Wednesday collision on Highway 3 near Iittala, after a burgundy truck involved in the crash failed to stop and continued toward Tampere.

A car attempting to overtake the truck was forced to brake sharply when the truck suddenly moved into the left lane, according to police. The car’s driver swerved, lost control, and rolled onto its side in the ditch. The car sustained heavy damage, and both the driver and a passenger suffered minor injuries.

Authorities are asking for any information about the truck, including its licence plate or possible dashcam footage.
