Sandoy tunnel again reported unsafe to drive through

The mayors of Sandoy region have once more contacted the Tunnel Company over the Sandoy tunnel, according to Faroese public broadcaster KVF.

Marjun Debes, mayor of Skopun, speaking on behalf of the five mayors, said they no longer feel safe driving through the tunnel, which they describe as wet and difficult to navigate.

The other mayors are Kristian Oskar Henriksen of Sand, Anna Pulina Leo Olsen of Húsavík, Linjohn Christiansen of Skálavík, and Jóanis í Hoygarðinum of Skúgvoy.
