Krista Taubert to continue as acting editor-in-chief at Yle

Krista Taubert will continue indefinitely as acting editor-in-chief of Yle’s news and sports unit, as well as a member of its management team, the Finnish public broadcaster reported on Wednesday.

Panu Pokkinen, the head and editor-in-chief of Yle’s news and sports division, died on Wednesday at the age of 49.

Yle’s board appointed Taubert in early June to temporarily replace Pokkinen after he suffered a sudden cardiac arrest while on holiday in Lisbon.
