Police in Eastern Uusimaa say alcohol was not involved in the June 30 collision in which a woman riding an electric scooter died after striking a truck on Lehdokkitie in Tikkurila, Vantaa.

Investigators have formed a clear picture of the events, though the preliminary investigation remains ongoing, lead investigator Simo Juntunen told Yle. Authorities are still awaiting results from technical examinations and expert statements.

The case is being probed as endangerment of traffic safety and causing death. Charges have not changed, but may be reconsidered as the investigation progresses. The truck driver remains the sole suspect.

Police expect the preliminary investigation to conclude in the coming months.
