Kaukovainio fire investigated as aggravated arson, suspect known to police

Oulu police are investigating a fire in the Kaukovainio district as aggravated arson, according to a statement. The blaze, which started in an apartment on Tornihaukantie on Monday, is suspected to have been deliberately set.

Firefighters quickly brought the fire under control, preventing it from spreading to other units in the building. A suspect has been identified but is not currently in custody, police said.
