Child seriously injured after being hit by car in Oslo

A three-year-old child was seriously injured after being run over by a car in Oslo’s Østensjø district on Monday afternoon, according to police.

Operations manager Eirik Sannes confirmed in a police log that the child’s legs were struck, resulting in severe injuries. The child was taken to hospital by ambulance, accompanied by their mother, who was present at the scene.

Sannes told Dagbladet that police do not yet know the sequence of events. Authorities have secured witnesses and the driver and will begin questioning those involved to clarify what happened.
