The Finnish Meteorological Institute reports that today will be a rainy day across the country. The heaviest downpours are expected in Eastern Finland, where warnings for intense rainfall have been issued. In southern and central regions, rainfall may be even stronger than yesterday.

Conditions will start to clear in Northern Finland by the evening. Temperatures are forecasted to hover around 20 degrees Celsius throughout the country, with the warmest weather found in the north.

The weekend is expected to be unstable for much of the country. Northern Finland will experience drier conditions compared to the rest of the nation. The highest daytime temperatures on Saturday and Sunday will also be found in the northern regions.

On Saturday, clearer skies will extend from the north to areas around Oulu and Kajaani. Rain will persist in southern and central Finland, particularly in the afternoon and early evening. On Saturday, the risk of thunderstorms will be highest in the south.

As Sunday progresses, rain is expected to ease in Central Finland, while showers will still occur in the south throughout the day. Rain showers may continue in the southern areas on Monday.
