Heavy rain warning for eastern Svealand and Gävleborg

Sweden’s meteorological agency SMHI has issued a yellow warning for heavy rain across parts of eastern Svealand and Gävleborg, as reported by SVT.

The alert covers most of Stockholm and Uppsala counties, as well as the southernmost area of Gävleborg county, with downpours expected to bring 30 to 50 millimetres of rain in a short period. The warning is in effect from 11:00 to 18:00 on Sunday. The exact locations of the heaviest rainfall remain uncertain.

A separate warning for heavy rain has also been issued for parts of Västerbotten and Västernorrland, where 50 to 80 millimetres of rain is possible from Sunday afternoon through early Monday morning.
