Search underway in Åland Sea after distress call

Finnish authorities launched a search operation in the Åland Sea on Saturday after receiving a distress call from Åland in the morning, the Finnish Border Guard’s Western Finland unit reported.

The search involved multiple units, but no one in distress has been found, according to the Border Guard. Authorities have asked anyone who may have heard the distress call on VHF radio to contact them by email.
