Heavy rain failed to dampen spirits at Finland’s Ruisrock festival in Turku on Saturday, as attendees embraced the downpour with proper gear and good humour, Yle reports.

“It’s all about being prepared,” said Sanna Suominen. “With a good jacket, a proper rain poncho, and a few peppermint shots from the bar area, it’ll turn into fun.”

Ella-Mari Ohenoja added, “Ruisrock is Ruisrock, rain or shine,” while Pihla Kuoppala noted, “You can still enjoy yourself if you’re well-equipped.”

Organisers said the weather had not disrupted festival arrangements. Friday’s sunny conditions drew about 28,000 visitors, roughly matching last year’s opening-day turnout. The 2025 three-day event attracted some 80,000 attendees in total.
