The Faroese Ministry of Labour has issued new regulations on agricultural subsidies, effective from Saturday.
Support is available to individuals, businesses, and associations that are registered for VAT, maintain bookkeeping records, and have an annual turnover exceeding 50,000 DKK.
Under the new rules, the maximum subsidy for first-class milk is 1.05 DKK per litre. For fresh lamb meat, the maximum support is 20 DKK per kilogram. Subsidies also cover vegetables such as cabbage, consumer meat, poultry, eggs, and milk processing equipment.
Additional support is provided for crops including apples, root vegetables, and herbs, as well as products like Faroese wool, horse meat, goose, down, lambskin, and wool.
