Man wanted for assault at Copenhagen World Cup screening arrested

A man wanted by police since Tuesday for an assault during a World Cup public screening on Islands Brygge in Copenhagen has been arrested, Copenhagen Police announced via Politi Update.
The suspect turned himself in Friday morning, police said. He is charged with assault and will appear in a custody hearing at Copenhagen City Court’s Vestre Prison division at approximately 12:30.
A 32-year-old Swedish man was seriously injured in the incident. The investigation remains ongoing, and police have no further comment at this time.
