First tax refunds of the year paid to 200,000 Finns
Finland’s Tax Administration announced today that the first tax refunds of the year are being issued, with around 200,000 people receiving a total of approximately €217 million.
Today’s payments go to sole traders, farmers, and their spouses, with the funds arriving in their accounts over the course of the day.
Tax refunds will be paid to Finns from the start of July until the end of the year, with most receiving theirs in August or September. The majority of Finns access their tax decisions and refund information electronically through the Omavero service.
