Construction firm Skanska will build a new office building for technology company Garmin in Jyväskylä, Finland, with the contract valued at approximately €29 million, reports Yle.

The 8,500-square-metre facility will serve as Garmin’s research and product development centre. Construction begins immediately, with completion expected in spring 2028.

Garmin produces satellite navigation devices for automotive, aviation, and sports applications. The building’s facade will feature charred wood, and it will meet energy class A standards, partly powered by rooftop solar panels.
