Finland’s youth employment voucher scheme has been revised as of today, the Ministry of Economic Affairs and Employment announced.
Under the updated rules, associations and foundations can now use the vouchers alongside businesses. The required employment duration has been shortened from six months to three, and the previous requirement for a minimum period of youth unemployment before granting support has been removed entirely.
The scheme, introduced at the start of the year, aims to boost youth employment by reducing recruitment costs. Employers can receive a subsidy covering up to half of a young employee’s salary, capped at €1,500 per month.
