Havnarvegur in Tórshavn will be closed for several days as the subsoil requires replacement, according to Fríður P. Dalsgarð, technical director of Tórshavn Municipality, Kringvarp Føroya reports.

The road opened to traffic a year ago and is now due for annual inspection. Since the work falls under the warranty period from the original construction, the municipality will not incur additional costs for the replacement.

The entire access road, including all connecting routes, cost around 400 million kroner to build.
