Faroese and Russian researchers propose 10% cod quota increase in Barents Sea

Faroese public broadcaster KVF reports that Norwegian and Russian fisheries scientists recommend raising the cod quota in the Barents Sea by 10% for next year, to 312,667 tonnes.

The proposal is based on the 2021 cod year class, which is stronger than other recent year classes, including 2025.
